(Jynx torquilla)
A wryneck is an unusual migratory bird that gets its name from its ability to twist and turn its head almost 180 degrees.
Characteristic features of this bird belonging to the woodpecker family are cryptic plumage that provides excellent camouflage against tree bark, and hissing and writhing its neck like a snake when threatened.
